Terms and Conditions

1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to the website and services offered by The Review Society.

The Review Society is operated by VOSBACH MEDIA FZCO, trading as The Review Society.

By using our website, submitting a review for analysis, or purchasing a paid service, you agree to these terms.

2. Business customers only

The Review Society is intended for businesses, business owners, freelancers, and professional users.

By using our paid services, you confirm that you are acting in a business or professional capacity and not as a private consumer.

3. Definitions

In these terms:

'We', 'us' and 'our' refer to The Review Society.

'You' refers to the customer, business, or person using our website or services.

'Review' means a Google review or other online review submitted for analysis.

'Analysis' means our assessment of whether a review may potentially breach platform rules.

'Notice' means a report, removal request, or complaint submitted to Google or another relevant platform.

'Platform' means Google or any other third-party review platform.

4. Our services

The Review Society helps businesses assess Google reviews that may be unfair, false, misleading, harmful, or in breach of platform rules.

Depending on the service selected, we may:

  • analyse a review for potential policy issues
  • explain why a review may or may not qualify for action
  • prepare a notice or removal request
  • submit or help submit a notice to the relevant platform
  • resubmit a notice where included in the selected service tier
  • provide updates where reasonably available

We are not affiliated with Google. We do not control Google's review systems, policies, decisions, timelines, or outcomes.

5. Free analysis

The free analysis is provided for general guidance only.

It is free of charge and without obligation.

The free analysis does not guarantee that a review breaches platform rules, that a notice will be accepted, or that a review will be removed.

No rights can be derived from the outcome of the free analysis.

6. Paid review support

If you choose a paid service, you pay for our review support, notice preparation, submission, and resubmission process as described on the pricing page or checkout page.

Payment is due upfront at checkout unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The exact scope of the service depends on the package or tier selected.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a paid service if the review clearly falls outside the service scope, if the information provided is incomplete or misleading, or if the request appears abusive, unlawful, or made in bad faith.

7. No guarantee of removal

The Review Society does not guarantee that any Google review will be removed.

The final decision to remove, keep, restrict, or review a Google review is made by Google or the relevant platform.

Our role is to help you understand whether a review may breach platform rules and to support you in taking the appropriate next step.

8. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and truthful information.

You agree not to submit false, misleading, unlawful, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, or abusive information through our website or service.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the authority to act on behalf of the business profile or company you submit.

We may rely on the information you provide and are not responsible for delays, failed submissions, or rejected notices caused by incomplete or inaccurate information.

9. Resubmission policy

If a notice is rejected, we may resubmit it according to the limits of the service tier you purchased.

The number of resubmissions included will be shown on the pricing page, checkout page, or service description.

Resubmissions are only made where we believe there is a reasonable basis to do so.

We may decline to resubmit if the review clearly does not meet the relevant platform criteria, if new information is not available, or if further resubmission would be unreasonable or abusive.

10. Refund policy

If your selected service includes a refund condition, the specific refund terms will be shown on the pricing page or checkout page.

Where a refund applies, we will refund the amount paid for the relevant review after the included resubmission limit has been reached and the review has not been removed.

Refunds are normally processed within 5 to 10 business days after confirmation that the refund condition has been met.

Refunds do not apply where:

  • you provided false, incomplete, or misleading information
  • you requested work outside the service scope
  • the review was changed, deleted, or handled outside our process
  • you breached these terms
  • the service was cancelled after work had already started, unless we agree otherwise in writing

11. Cancellation

You may ask us to stop work before a notice has been prepared or submitted.

Once we have started preparing, submitting, or resubmitting a notice, cancellation may no longer be possible for that stage of the service.

Notices already submitted to Google or another platform cannot always be withdrawn.

12. Consumer cancellation rights

Our paid services are intended for business customers only.

If, despite this, you are legally considered a consumer under applicable law, you may have statutory cancellation rights for online purchases.

Where required by law, we will respect any mandatory consumer rights that apply.

If you want us to begin the service immediately during any applicable cancellation period, we may ask for your express consent to start the service before that period ends.

13. Pricing and payment

Prices are shown on the website or checkout page.

Prices may change from time to time, but changes will not affect an order already confirmed unless there has been an obvious error.

Payment is processed through our payment provider. We do not store full card details on our own systems.

You are responsible for any bank fees, currency conversion fees, or payment provider charges that may apply.

14. Timelines

We aim to handle analyses, notices, resubmissions, and support requests within a reasonable time.

Any timelines shown on the website are estimates only.

We are not responsible for delays caused by Google, other platforms, payment providers, incorrect customer information, technical issues, or events outside our reasonable control.

15. Not a law firm

The Review Society is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or regulated legal services.

Our analysis is based on platform rules, publicly available information, and the information you provide.

For legal certainty or legal disputes, you should consult a qualified lawyer.

16. Platform independence

The Review Society is independent and is not owned by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Google.

Google, Google Maps, Google Business Profile, and related names or marks belong to their respective owners.

Any references to Google are used only to describe the platform on which reviews appear.

17. Confidentiality

We treat the information you submit as confidential and use it only to provide the service, communicate with you, process payments, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.

We may disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights, or to trusted service providers who help us deliver the service.

18. Data protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using our website or services, you acknowledge that personal data may be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

19. Intellectual property

All website content, text, design elements, images, branding, software, code, templates, and materials belong to VOSBACH MEDIA FZCO or are used with permission, unless stated otherwise.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, or reuse any part of the website or service materials without prior written permission.

20. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the website or service.

You must not:

  • attempt to interfere with the website or its security
  • submit spam, malware, or harmful content
  • impersonate another person or business
  • use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or misleading purposes
  • submit reviews or information that you know to be false
  • use the service to harass reviewers, competitors, or third parties

We may suspend or refuse service if we believe these terms have been breached.

21. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Review Society is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of reputation, loss of business opportunity, or consequential damage.

Our total liability for a paid service is limited to the amount you paid for the review or service concerned.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

22. Changes to the service

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the website or service at any time.

We may also update pricing, packages, service descriptions, or processes from time to time.

23. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time.

The latest version will always be available on this page.

If we make material changes, we may notify users through the website or by email where appropriate.

24. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Dutch law, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

25. Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.
